APRI-Tacoma Youth Program

APRI-Tacoma Youth Chair & Logistics: Vesey Whitaker

Amplifying Youth Voices for Community Resilience, Civic Engagement & Communication Skills Workshops Pierce & King County:

APRI-Tacoma & Mdigo Kisimbo Outreach and Transform Lives, Executive Director

Great news—Thriving Communities now have full access to program funding: Philanthropy Northwest and two peer grantmakers filed a federal lawsuit in April in the U.S. District Court of the District of Maryland to challenge the EPA’s termination of our Thriving Communities grants, and we had been awaiting the court’s decision.  On June 17th, Judge Adam Abelson issued a ruling in our case, concluding the EPA acted unlawfully and that the terminations of our grants must be rescinded.

We are pleased to share that we now have access to the grant funds, and we will move forward with the execution of your grant agreements.  I will update once I receive the next steps from PNW and share the approved work plan.
